【中1英語】一般動詞の過去形（肯定文）をわかりやすく解説｜規則動詞ドリル80問

この記事では、中1英語で学習する一般動詞の過去形（規則動詞）を、ドリル形式で練習します。

一般動詞の過去形は、基本的に 動詞に ed をつける だけですが、

• play → played
• like → liked
• study → studied

のように、動詞によって変化のしかたが少し異なります。

また、yesterday（昨日） や last week（先週） などの過去を表す語句もよく出題されます。

この記事では、規則動詞の過去形を80問のドリルで繰り返し練習しながら、定期テストでよく出るポイントをしっかり身につけていきましょう。

STEP1　ed をつける動詞に慣れよう

一般動詞の過去形では、多くの動詞に -ed をつけます。

たとえば、

• play → played
• watch → watched
• help → helped

のようになります。

まずは、基本的な 「動詞＋ed」 の形を身につけましょう。

STEP2　d をつける動詞に慣れよう

一般動詞が e で終わる場合 は、-ed ではなく -d をつけて過去形を作ります。

たとえば、

• like → liked
• use → used
• live → lived

のようになります。

このSTEPでは、eで終わる動詞の過去形を練習しましょう。

STEP3　yで終わる動詞に慣れよう

動詞が yで終わる場合 は、その前の文字に注目します。

子音＋y の場合は、

• study → studied
• carry → carried
• try → tried
• worry → worried

のように、yをiに変えてed をつけます。

一方、母音＋y の場合は、

• play → played
• enjoy → enjoyed
• stay → stayed

のように、yを変えずにそのままed をつけます。

まずは子音＋yの動詞を中心に練習し、最後に母音＋yの動詞も確認しましょう。

STEP4　過去を表す語句に慣れよう

過去形の問題では、過去を表す語句がよく出てきます。

たとえば、次のようなものです。

• last week（先週）
• last month（先月）
• last Sunday（この前の日曜日）
• two days ago（2日前）

これらの語句を見たら、「過去のことを表している」と気づけるようになりましょう。
